Monashee Powder Catsking

Ski touring is great but it cant compare to being hauled up the slopes by a snow cat to ski about 10x the number of runs you would if you were climbing up on your own. For my mother's 60th we went family cat skiing, had amazing conditions, great food and laughs.

It was cold! -24 C in the morning which made it so the snow wasn't as slippery as I am used to on the coast. Days # 2 and #3 were my favourites one being in an area called Minimilus Ridge and the other exploring the tree runs of the whole tenure - faceshots on nearly every turn. Monashee Powder has a great area to ski in with a great mix of both high alpine runs and tree runs for when the avalanche danger is high. The snow was so deep that my mother was even looking for cliffs for me to jump off!
